Hello, hello! I hope August has gotten off to a smooth start for you and maybe a little retail therapy can bring an extra smile. A couple of things to note before I share some of what I've been happily crafting. Orders will begin shipping by the 18th and there are still delays in transit once your order is picked up by the USPS. These delays are occurring no matter where you are located. The Keep in Touch stamp is expected to be restocked at the end of August and I'll announce on Instagram and via the newsletter once I have an exact date. Now on to the crafting!
I enjoyed some quiet time with the new Embrace the Mess kit and got to pull out some other items from my stash to mix in. While the kit is loosely themed about chores, I was inspired to tell different stories that embraced a messy desktop, skipping chores, and welcoming the weekend.
Sometimes, my first idea isn't my best idea. I thought it would fun to stamp in the background of the blue card and then type my journaling. It turned into a jumbled mess, but I still wanted to use the stamps so instead added a border to my photos.
I had the Happy Little Moments stamp set on my desk and realized the journaling stamp would be a great way to add the date and location. I'm always happy when I can mix old and new supplies with products from different designers. I also like that the vellum ephemera is thick enough that using pop dots doesn't really show.
Last but not least is a simple page about having an organized mess to keep me on track and 3 months in with a digital planner. Since there's a lot going on in 3 out of 4 of the pockets, a minimalist approach was best for me. Though I couldn't resist using pop dots and the Tiny Attacher.
Thank you so much for the support and kind words you share in the comments on Instagram and via email; it means a lot to me and always brightens my day!
