Home is where countless memories are made and this month we've focused on helping your record those moments. Brandi Kincaid and I have been joined by In a Creative Bubble to bring an awesome array of products where home is at the heart of them all. Of course that doesn't mean they can't be used for other stories, and from my projects below, you'll see how versatile they are.
I had a couple of different ideas for how I wanted to first work with the Inside and Out kit. A completely different story appeared to document and I'm loving the result.
The brick card is one of my favorites and to mimic the lines in it, I cut my journaling into strips. I was worried it made my layout hectic, but I tried it with a single journaling block and the lines won out.
For my next two projects, I used the Around the House kit to document two things that have always filled my home - cats and books.
Right away, I knew which journaling card I wanted to use for my layout. Since it had a rainbow of color, I printed my photos black and white and then used the house stamp to create my own patterned paper. I waffled between which light color to use from the journaling card and decided on a sunny yellow. I used the digital stamp brush of the label and printed off several of them in colors to match the kit, but thought the light blue paired the best. I stamped and punched circles in a darker blue and finished it all off with tiny black hearts from the Sweet Hearts puffy sticker sheet.
I've been working on a mini album about the books I read this year and had to put one of my favorite cards onto a project right away. I was able to use another digital label and popped it and a trimmed down card up with foam adhesive. Simple and sweet.
Spring will be here soon and I can't wait. In the meantime, I'm counting down the days and used the Spring Showers TN paper pack and Today's Forecast stamp to document it in my A5 everyday notebook.
Another project I've started this year is a creative planner. I'm using it to track highlights of my week along with journaling. One of the things I've been tracking is the weather because it often correlates with my mood and activities. With the icons from the Today's Forecast stamp, I had a fun way to record the week's weather.
While this isn't a new product releasing this month, I wanted to give you a gentle reminder to use your older products. Adding a page to my Read mini album, I used the Mapped Out stamp to help document a quote. It was the perfect way to embellish a lovely story and quote.
Plenty more inspiration will be shared using these delightful new products on Instagram from the designers, Creative Team, and myself. I hope you'll join us in sharing what you've made! Not on Instagram? No problem - you can find all the projects on Pinterest.
