Making with September's Release

Shop Update

Happy Wednesday! Have you been getting a jump on all things pumpkin spiced? This month's release is all about autumn documenting and it's getting me in the mood for cooler days and cozy layers.

We have an adorable kit from In a Creative Bubble that you can use for October Daily projects along with fun add-ons. Also releasing is the My Thankful 30 2021 kit and I'm sharing ideas for this year's mini album. It will be my eighth year documenting moments of gratitude and it becomes a more meaningful project with each passing year.

Having recently finished my Summer mini, I'm still feeling inspired by size of the Life Crafted album from Citrus Twist. I won't be using pockets this time and am debating on using a mix of kraft, dotted, and clear pages or only clear pages.

If I do a mix of pages, my formula will be a simple one of using the clear page as the base for my journaling and possibly alternating between kraft and dotted papers for my photo. The additional paper layers beneath the journaling card will provide place for stamping, dating and additional embellishing.

My pages are sized at 5x8 so that I have plenty of space to work after having holes punched. And on the off chance I decide to use page protectors, everything will be the same size.

If I decide to use only clear sheets, it could make for a chaotic album or it could be really fun. I love the idea of doing something different than I have before, but I'll have to give it some more thought.

The kit includes pieces from Peaceful Heart by Jen Hadfield and I couldn't resist stocking additional items from this lovely collection.

If you're looking for additional ideas, here are photos from my 2020 and 2019 mini albums. In 2020 I used an A5 traveler's notebook and in 2019 I made my album from small binder rings and glassing bags.

Be on the lookout for inspiration from the Creative Team sharing projects with the October Moments and My Thankful 30 kits. Sneaks of the holiday release are coming soon and don't forget that October's release is on the 1st at 10am EDT.
